Distributed Monitoring
The Distributed Edition enables true enterprise wide network monitoring. Distributed testing makes it possible to monitor servers, routers and other network connected equipment that are behind a firewall or only accessible trough a VPN.
Agentless, less hassle
Without the need to install any agents on the monitored machine the Network Monitor saves you money right from the start. The installation process is a fraction of the time needed compared with a traditional monitoring solution.
Windows server monitoring
The Network Monitor is capable of monitoring every aspect of a Windows server or workstation, such as event logs, services, active directory and WMI.
Linux/Unix monitoring
The Network Monitor offers an extensive support for different Linux/Unix based operating systems.
Scripting
The Network Monitor includes support for the Lua scripting language. Customers can create custom made agents to test systems and equipment not supported by any current monitoring solution.
Taking action
The Network Monitor features a unique way to handle and escalate alarms; we call it action list and are best described as small a program that is executed when an alarm is triggered.
User permission
The Network Monitor includes a sophisticated user rights management system making it possible to restrict access for operators. Users can for example be restricted just to see certain monitored object, and ideal solution for service providers.
Integration with higher order systems
The Network Monitor can send log information in real time as SNMP traps to enterprise console systems.
Reporting
All data collected by the agents can be stored and used to produce historical reports. These reports can be sent by e-mail, uploaded to a FTP server or saved to a file server. INM contains a set of easy to use tools to create and distribute reports.
