A) The Monitor stores the configuration in a proprietary high performance database. The database is encrypted with a strong encryption algorithm to prevent tampering and unauthorized use.

Q) Does Aegis Wireless Network Monitor require an external web server?

A) No, the Network Monitor has an integrated web server that supports both normal HTTP and encrypted (SSL/TLS) HTTPS.

Q) Do I need to install Aegis Wireless Network Monitor with a Windows account with administrator rights?

A) No, using the Account manager monitors can be configured to use a specific Windows account during the test. This feature makes it possible for INM to execute on a minimum of required privileges.

Q) Is it safe to store account information in Aegis Wireless Network Monitor?

A) Nothing is 100% safe, but we think that our solution have done everything to ensure the safety of sensitive information. All information in Aegis Wireless Network Monitor is stored encrypted on disk. In addition to this, all accounts are encrypted in memory. Only the very short period of time when using the account information during a test (time counted in milliseconds) it is unencrypted in memory.
